Todays hunt.:twodetecting:

My buddy and I scratched through a fresh patch of woodlands today and targets were sparse overall. I did manage to get my coil over one good spot near the end of a down log and recovered 2 Merc's. in the same hole, a 40 and a 42. I told my buddy to watch for those love making spots and hit em. Shortly there after he dug a 3 Merry Widows container. I also ended up with 5 wheat cents, the 2 oldest being a 20d and 20. The other 3 were from the 40's. No markings on the toy gun, but I like it. It came out of the ground in two pieces and the pieces snug up nicely. Dug the handle first and felt the barrel and receiver should be nearby. And. it was. About 2' away. We each had some clad and cents and the usually woods trash. A wonderful day to be out tripping over stumps and logs. HH jim tn

Good hunt and finds in the silvers.

Nice hunt! A foot of snow here is preventing any local detecting; I'm envious.

Go Jim! Like the energizer bunny…you keep on posting the goods so regularly. Hmmmm, too bad Tennessee doesn't have a coastline, we love the beach and TN is tax friendly to us retirees. Seems you can hunt there when we are watching ice form here!

Got to love those old cap guns Jim. I remember getting some under the Christmas tree when I was a younger lad. Lots of pretend cowboys and Indian games back then.

Wonderful hunting! I hope the weather continues to hold steady for you to keep us entertained!
