Today's lone find breaks long seated slump !

Ed (Upstate NY)

Active member
I haven't dug a seated liberty coin in about 4 years so I must admit, it was beginning to bother me. Won't have to worry any longer after digging a 1858-O seated liberty half dime this morning while out detecting with Park Pirate. I was digging some deep iffy signals and this was the only one that panned out. Other than the half dime I dug nothing else worth mentioning. Not even a single wheat penny.

Congrats on breaking the slump, way to go!

Heck, that would make my week. Awesome find !!

Yep thats what keeps us going...seated is rare in my area but have found seated dimes and who knows over the next hill a seated quarter beckons..Always found break a slump and another awaits so be patient and way to go....

It was cool to see upstate ed pull that seated half dime from the ground, with 20+ years under his belt in this hobby, its why he finds the good stuff. excellent job buddy.

There real hard 2 find... Because they didant lose that many.. I found 4 in like 2 weeks. then not a 1 in 4 years...

Super find, Congrats.

Haven't found one yet myself. Thanks for posting. If you dont mind me asking, what numbers did it give you and what depth. Thanks ED,
