Got out for about 3 hrs. in our beat up civil war spot. No bullets for me but my brother managed 2. I got the ring...has 18k stamped inside. Thanks for looking. Robert

Not bad, but I'll take it. This spot is really strange sometimes. Gives up bullets one day...next time out, not much at all.
The ring was found in front of a trench not long after getting started. Nothing but shotgun shells after that. Oh well...had fun just the same. Supposed to be getting into another old homesite after deer season. I think it may be virgin!

Some nice finds,alas i feel the ring in not the real deal,gold comes out the ground the same as when it was dropped,i think i am right in saying that i read on this forum recently that they produced these cheapo ring and also they had the same type of mark on it as yours does,but its certain not gold as far as i can tell.

Yeah, I kinda figured it wasn't real gold but maybe gold plated? Here's another I dug some time ago, 18 k also. This one has a little gold showing, can't really see it in the pic.
