Todays's and last few hunts. :teknetics:

Since acquiring the Omega 8000 a while back have pretty much been swinging it exclusively ever since. And the 10" concentric still remains the only coil I have for it. With my other two Omega's I pretty much only used the 11" DD and the 5" DD when in heavy trash. Quite honestly, the 10" concentric astounds me at times with how well it does in parks and demo sties trashy conditions.

This morning my buddy and I hit a spot on a demo'ed housing site and I was fortunate enough to get my coil over 3 silver coins. 2 Mercury dimes and a well traveled 44 Walker half. It has been a while since I have seen a silver half in the hole. Also got 2 wheat cents, 52 and 56.

Typically the demo sites we've been hunting don't give up a bunch of coins and the vast majority of the coins are Memorial cents. Still, enough silver and and the occasional jewelry piece shows up to keep us returning to the spots.

The last picture is of the silver I have recovered in the last week or so, all with the Omega. The spoon tests silver and the Happy Birthday charm is marked sterling. HH jim tn

Very impressive hunt Jim. 5 silver items in one hunt would keep me coming back for more ! I think I might put back my concentric on the F5. It's been a long time. I liked it when I was using it but it wasn't very deep possibly due to the mineralization we have here.

Thanks guys! The 8000 platform has always been a coin killer and especially loves silver ones. I have a couple other detectors, but that Omega is a tough one to put down. Besides liking silver, it is a light weight joy to swing. EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT 4TH! HH jim tn
