Token, Button, Silver & Wheaties

Got out for a few hours at a new spot, found a few cool things, The Token I have done some research and can't find a thing on it, N.H.L. always comes up National Hockey League? I don't think that is what it stands for, anyone can Identify this one, not a button expert and have now idea on the age or anything but it looks cool, I also got three Wheaties and a nice Merc.

I don't know the correct terminology for the button, but here is my best stab at it. It's a general service coat button, +/- WWII. I don't know how to narrow the dates down.
