...we usually meet at the church, and horse trade coins.I do not collect seriously, just a great interest in coin "history".But if I did want a certain coin,a club is a good place at good prices.Feb 15th was Canada's 40th anniversy for the Canadian flag, did you know the highest a canadian flag ever flew, well it was on the canadian made space arm, which was made near Van. bc.Primeminister Lester Pearso at this time in 1965.

Well now too the juicy part of this report,There is a good buddy at the coin club,His name is Les,he is around 85 years old, skinny and in good condition for his age.He always has good luck with the raffle prizes.Well tonight I saw him as usual,I forgot too mention he is a widower I thought.Well old Lester has few more oats to sew he is now married to a woman 35 years younger them him.I was a bit surprized to say the least.I guess it's never too late to make a new start in life,I wish Lester all the best and thanks for reading...ojm

Sounds like Les is enjoying himself.
Boy I remember the flag debate. The whole school, when it was introduced, booed it. I still have problems with the maple leaf flag.. I like to think that the red ensign is still Canadas' flag. Much more history and pride in that flag.
All the best

familiar story, you know, the old guy finding the young sweet thing!!! 'course, Les is probably one of the oldest! Usually happens around 40-45 years old, or that's been my experience!!

silver dollars, wheat pennies, and the like. I guess some of the best I have are the bicentenial coins my mother in law gave to us years ago! And each year, Scott buys all the grandkids a silver dollar, supposedly never touched by human hands, for them to keep in their own collection. Some day, they'll be glad they have them!
