Just think, at one time, all that glass was sharp.

Glass Beach CA

Ever detect here Tom? Looks like a busy Tourist site so it should have seen lots of traffic as the glass has walked away over the years.....

Why would there be a rule to protect the trash (glass) ? To much govt..

You're not thinking about it correctly, bootyhoundpa. Because there is gov there Must be more rules to govern everything we do. Just like mangers gotta manage even when things are going well.

(/sarcasm)

Because of the history behind how the glass got there. It could never be repeated. If everyone took a piece it would disappear. If we are allowed to dig, people would whine about not being able to take some glass home. Image is everything. Even tho we are looking for something else entirely, observers would assume we are taking glass.

I saw a program on TV some years back where they were collecting sea glass from a California beach. Once collected the sea glass was taken to lapidary shop where the glass pieces were shaped and placed in sterling silver settings for jewelry etc.
