Too cold to detect...so I build

Made a stand to keep the detector out of the dirt better. I might have cut too much off of the T that snaps onto the shaft. I'll probably have to redo that part.
Camo Form tape around the shaft. Trying to keep the paint nice.

And I sewed a ballistic cloth sheath for my Ames digger.

Yep that what being cooped up all winter dose to you - Both look nice.

Now i need a detector with better gas mileage. It is going to be a hard to be able to go very far this year.

A couple more projects that I have done:

Temporary skidplate(I've had one on back order since January) made from the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket.

Modified Ames digger. Cut serrations into the smooth side. Rounded off the "twine cutter"(also a potential headphone cord cutter). Added a point. The new point is regular steel, so it will rust.

You are gonna be ready to go once it warms up. Nice job on all your mods.

I had a point welded onto my digger also, but no extra serations. I have been digging with it now since I started a couple years ago.
