I found about 5 new spots. Untouched ground (untouched by me that is) means a drive of around 40 minutes to an hour. I managed two hours at each of two schools who were on spring break. I had yet another run in with some idiot teens. They were cussing and swearing and bullying some younger children. When two of the little guys started following me I asked if the older kids were bothering them. They said yes and I asked the teens to clean up their language. They cussed me for a while so about 15 minutes later I went to the police station and walked up to a state trooper. He unclipped the belt on his gun as I approached and I asked if there was a problem. He asked me about my side arm and I looked down and said it was a small metal detector (Pro-Pointer) and I took it out and handed it to him. He laughed and said can't be too careful, I was pretty muddy and dirty, and he said his unit used Garrett detectors for CSI. After I told him about the kids and he said he would go put the fear of God into them and I went home. I was not carrying, FYI. I should learn to walk away from a lot of the situations I get into, but when I see a small minority spoiling something for a weaker majority I feel like I have to get involved. I told the cop this and he told me I did the right thing.
Onto the hunts. I gravitate toward the same types of sites so I always get the same sorts of finds. The coins were plentiful at both schools. Of note. Silver ring. I would call it a lightning bolt but it might be the school logo. It has initials and what looks like a uniform number ingraved. 1911 V Nickel. That was a lucky hit. 1950 Wheat. Undated wheat. Junk ring (Dreams Come True.) $ Fob. Small watch. An old lock. Plumb Bob. First Sac (Dollar Coin) of 2009! Finally! 150 coins for about 18 bucks.
I planned to hunt until I had gold or silver in my pocket. Arrogant of me but God provided. My fingers are raw. Back feels good. I have a really promising site lined up for Easter Sunday.

I know my nickel phot sucks. No sunlight at this hour.
