Mode bp.... disc 4......sens 28........4h tone.....I have a quarter buried at 12-14 inches the soil is wet from rain.it has been in the ground a couple months.....it was hitting the quarter fine and a little jumpy but I would have dug it ....its a trashy area....the low gain was working good........gb was in the 60's.....I hope this helps.....What are your findigs........hh........Dan

That kind of depth is very impressive on a quarter.......
I usually run mine with alot more sensitivity, but then you will get a noise increase that alot of folks dislike....
HH,
Bill

Bill,All the conditions are right... the confidence indicater was also 4-5 bars at times... but I also knew where to look......I would have dug it if I had not know it was there already.....I didn't measure the depth when I buried it..but the 12-14inches I think are pretty close ......hh.........God Bless.......Dan

I wasn't doubting you or anything ;) Just pointing out that you don't have to crank sensitivity way up to see success....especially in coinhunting.
HH,
Bill

I didn't take it that way Bill....I'm just trying to find out what works best....I'm new to Fisher detectors.....oh by the way the quarter was hitting 80-90's and I was moving very slow and I walked around it for masking also it hit in maybe two directions walking all the way aroud it.......good luck.......Dan

I've used the low gain setting (29) some of the times I've run into emi situations do to nearby power lines. I never dug anything all that deep, but coins in the 5" or so depth range came in loud and clear. I'm so used to running high sen. that I can't seem to force myself into running it lower...and I really should give the low gain setting more of a try. HH jim tn

Jim you gotta go slow...maybe it will work for your area......hh.........Dan

I've had the ltd about 4-5 months.....it is so sensitive.....never had Fisher brands before.....with all the settings you can try it's almost like a new detector with various setting.......example one guy was talking about disc. of 50 guess what I went out to my pounded yard and found 1944 merc in a few min......just diff. settings can get good finds......amazing.......hh......God Bless..........Dan
