at a park downtown and got my butt kicked by my buddy Lee and his "old" XS.:veryangry: I was happy for him, but I went around this old tree and then he came right behind me and pulled out a worn 1917 merc dime!! I have mixed emotions now and kind of dumb founded that my SE didn't pick up that merc. It was down a good six or seven inches, but I missed it somehow. He showed me another spot where in the past he has gotten a good signal under a tree root and gave up trying to find the target. I got a signal and he said, yep that's the spot. I was determined to find out what it was hoping maybe for silver and after about ten minutes of tough digging I finally pulled out a 1951 wheatie. I know I have some learning to do with the SE and I hope it starts clicking for me and if I get too frustrated I'll always have my trusty "ole" XS to fall back on. No pictures this time fellows, but who the heck wants to see a picture of a 51 wheatie. HH.

I know it's going to take me some time to learn the SE and God willing I'll still have enough time to figure it out. I think I just forgot the basics on my first run with my SE and didn't go slow enough and try and listen to what it was telling me. I did get the Koss headphones with my SE, but I really prefer my Pro-Gold that I have been using for a couple of years now. Thanks again fellows and maybe one of these days I can post some nice finds that I found with my new toy. GL & HH to all of you.
