The only thing that was different about this hunt was the 1939 nickle. I thought 1939 was still a buffalo nickle year. No that was the first year for Jefferson nickle. It is like every day is a learning experience when metal detecting. Not exactly secret society or hidden universal knowledge but just some good old fun fact. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Trails......Z

Zee, to bad one of those dimes or one of those quarters wasn't dated 1939 that would have put them in the silver zone. Still that's a lot of coins for one hunt.

Nice finds and abundance Zeekey

Nice coin count there, Z...good on ya for getting out and getting some loot! :clapping: I dont know how you do it these kinds of amounts over and over with that bum hip! Do you eat an aspirin or anything before a hunt?

Good hunt there Z---------I know all about the achey hips, shoulders, ankles and knees. I take snack of some kind and 800MG of Ibuprofen with my coffee as soon as I get up. Gets everything working and ready to hunt. Good for 6 hours:thumbup:----------------IB

I eat a small bowl of Kryptonite. Warning do not touch any detector or electronic device for at least 1 hour after eating. :pinnochio

I am very fortunate because I have always been a weird kid. I have always wondered is there something better? It keeps me broke but through the decades I have stumbled on many interesting possibilities that make things better for my family. Many times the family will not follow. Things have improved, now I will only follow someone that doesn't die. :bouncy:

I go out detecting for the meditation. Each season usually gives me a few hundred dollars to spend (on another stupid idea according to the wife) because of detecting. I have been playing with magnets past few months and have magnets taped to my legs, arms, forehead, back, face or other places. It is all in understanding what a marvelous big life we are experiencing. It's not dull or routine...

Thanks for replies and Happy Trails.....Z

Hmmm...I wake up all hurty, drink a pot of coffee, read the Forum for inspiration, and force myself out for an adventure..and I'm half your age, so you are really impressive!

I generally warm up in a totlot, drive around listening to the radio and hunting, in a very short time, I feel great!

I've heard a guy should eat an aspirin before the hunt, like IBD does, instead of after...I might try that...Have you ever swallowed one of those fancy magnets? You might be surprised what it drags out of you! Might be the keys to that old flivver you drove back in the 20's. You could slap that up on ebay! Take a picture!

Aspirin before hunting isn't a good idea to deaden the senses, you could hurt the pain area much more without realizing it. I am not a doctor but I play one and the girls really get up set when they find out I am not a doctor.
Just this week I found one of those magnets that a cow would be made to swallow. Mud those keys were vacated years ago.
I wake up confused and it gets worse the longer I am up. My wife calls it being goofy but I prefer being a little out there. Where ever that is?
I start my day with a cup or two of coffee.

Have to go detecting... CUL........Z
