TOOK the MUFFLER on the STICK out

I took my muffler on a stick out again. (Black F2) today . On Friday AM had played with the F5, on the local park here built in 1969. So today it was the F2 turn, I hadn't used it in almost a month since I got F5. On 9-28-10 I had used it with the 4" sniper coil and had found a 2008 Andrew Jackson $1 Dollar Coin. This park doesn't give up its coins easy, it makes you work for em. So I had the F2 out with the same set up as last time out with the 4" sniper coil on again. Started out just before 7 AM, and the pickings started off slow and few and far in between . Its par for this park , I was finding a few pennies around the overhead pavilion that had picnic tables and BBQ grills. hit the ball field zero luck. The ball field had produced the $ 1 Coin before, 1 ring and most coins before. I had hit field on Friday with F5 and got a whopping 86 cents for my effort. I decided to search along the edges of the paved walking path that runs part way through the park. It the width of a single lane road. I decided on the left side of path, shortly after it gave up a quarter, which was encouraging,it was better than pennies. I was nearing the end of the path at the other end park when i got a god solid hit in quarter Icon and matching VDI. Meter said about three inches down, cut a U shaped plug and popped out the coin . I could see that it was bigger than a Quarter but couldn't see what it was. The soil wrecks havoc on coins here in no time.) I thought maybe a coin token I had found one in the park. I said well I will rub dirt off a little, I know that that is a no no but from previous coins here it doesn't hurt them , the soil already did its worse. And low and behold a flying eagle YES and the magic word dollar. YEA HA I,m doing the happy dance. It made my day. Not until I get it home and scrub it under water with a finger scrub brush do I see the other side. Yes Yes a figure of a women with a baby another first for me a Sacagawea $1 Dollar Coin. It has lost all it gold color its now a dark brown patina. Its been 26 DAYS since my First dollar coin find !!! HMMMM whats the chance of finding another $1 coin before another month is almost up. :wiggle:

It's all a matter of just getting out there and hunting. I've 'averaged' 14 a year for the last several years, and this year has been better. Even losing a month and a half from a injury this summer, I still popped #16 for 2010 a week ago today. Coincidently, it was along a pathway by a school built i the late '60s. Like the others it joins the 1
