Took the old reliable gti 1500 out today

Took the 1500 out today for a little coin hunting. I've had this detector for 14 or 15 yrs., I believe I bought it in 1999. The only trouble I ever had with it was cracked battery packs but Garrett replaced them for free.
I found two silver dimes and a couple bucks in clad today so it was a great hunt and fun to get the old detector back out. I need to start using it a little more often. Great detector.

I agree with you. I got mine about a yr after you. It has sat on the bench all yr cause I've been getting up to speed with a new Infinium. Its always been a great quarter hound for me. Think I'll put it back in the rotation next year.

I found thousands of coins with my GTI detectors. Great coin shooters!
Not only a great coin shooter but also a really good relic machine. Have found several hundred relics from an Indian camp site with it.
