General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I'm happy to say that my brand new CTX-3030 arrived today. Can't wait to put it up against my trusty SE Pro and see how it does. Bryce has both machines as well and I'm really looking forward to comparing notes with perhaps the most accomplished Minelab user around.

I wanted to say thanks and kudos also to our incomparable forum sponsor Detector Depot! Recently a gal named Lara bought the business from Lynn who supplied many of us with our SE Pros and e-Tracs. Lara is, like Lynn, one word: fantastic! I shopped around and she still had the best deal going on these machines and the best part is she's right next to a UPS hub so I got my gear in two days from TN to NJ!

I picked up the CTX with the wireless module and also a new Minelab Pro-Find 25 pinpointer -- I'm going to miss my trusty old X-1 on this machine...hope the Pro-Find can fill its shoes.

I'm happy to report that all my decals are bone dry and not tacky to the touch as some had reported with their CTXs.

Lara is just a real sweetheart to deal with and she was great to speak with on the phone--really knows her stuff and has a great sense of humor too! I love her new slogan:

Detector Depot: We got the best prices, the best customer service, and the finest double-Ds in the business! :yikes:

(referring of course to the coils) :lmfao:

Anyway, I'm glad to support a forum sponsor, especially one of this caliber. The banner ad needs updating as their new phone number is actually (865)789-8990 and not the one posted.

Looks like it's a really well engineered machine and well built too. Can wait to try it out!

Thanks for the welcome! Glad to see NJ is so well represented with the CTX! Great to be able to buy detecting products and receive them in 2 days via UPS! I hate to wait for stuff.

Thanks Don! Are you the same guy that used to go by Don in SJ. Just curious what pinpointer are you using now? I'm considering using the Pro Find cranked all the way up as the substitute for the X-1 complemented by my trusty VibraProbe for the really fine zeroing in on the target. I think Minelab has a great opportunity to make a wireless X-1 clone and I'm surprised that it's not an option on the CTX. It would set the CTX even further afield of the competition.

I have the Garrett & the Minelab as well as the Pistol Probe....have not used any of them yet as the X-1 and Vibraprobe worked really well for me on my SE Pro. Will have to compare the Garrett vs. the Minelab. I do hope Minelab has the vision to create a wireless X-1 type probe though that signals through the machine and the current disc pattern.
 
I went & bought the Minelab Pro Find since before that I exc lusively used the X-1 probe. I think there may be another Don in SJ, I know he uses that same name on another forum...
 
Thanks Lara--double Ds, two deep, are just how I like 'em ;) You're the best dealer in town just like Lynn was! :) Thanks for all you do and thanks for the best deals on any detecting equipment without the "used car dealer" angle used by the other couple of Johnny-Come-Lately dealers!
