Hey, how are things going with the Deus? I'm thinking about getting one for myself any info is great. thanks in advance

I am unable to really give an honest opinion yet. I think it would be unfair to the Deus with only 2 hunts. I really haven’t had enough time to get to know it. Once this weather clears out and I am able to mess with it I will have a better idea. I have been out of the hobby for a good while so need to get back into the swing of things.. I did notice the second time out that it would give me a high tone on the aluminum pull tabs until they were out of the ground then the time was different. I’m starting to think that the ground is so wet “standing water everywhere” and the targets are so close together that I may have had the sensitivity up to high. I could be wrong but it’s a thought I have been having?? I’m gonna try a different spot tomorrow if I get off work early enough and see how I fair. Gonna turn sensitivity down and use the softer program and see what happens.

Have you taken the time to put coins and other objects (pull tabs-etc) out on top of clean ground to get a sense of how they will sound in general. If you do; try swinging the coil at different distances ( and speeds) above the objects, you will notice the tone and intensity will change.

If you plan to stay in this for a while a test garden is another good thing to setup. You can start small with 6" to 8" depths.

Keep at it - I'm coming up on 4 years with Deus and still learning each time out.

Please keep us posted I just purchased one from another member it will be here on Tuesday I will need the input. thanks

I just came across this. Congrat's to you on the Deus. I wish you the Best of Luck with it. What coil did you get with the Deus, and if I may ask who did you deal with?
