Took the Quattro to the beach today.

And it did what it was suppose to do. It was a nice day to start, but then the clouds rolled in and the temp dropped into the mid 30's with a wind coming off the ocean. Really starting to like this machine now that I understand it more. Tonight 6" of snow is suppose to roll in, that will put a damper on finding stuff for a while.

Love your pics, especially your cat! What beach is that? Does it atually snow on the beach there? By the look of the amount of people walking around, looks like a very productive place to detect. Great finds too. Keep it up!

Our storm tracks vary greatly. Sometimes the coastline and including the beaches get covered in deep snow. These storms are called "Nor'easters" where the wind comes down from the cold North Atlantic and meets a warm low pressure system which produces a lot of snow. Then there are the storms that come from the west, that is a different type of snow, usually light and fluffy and very little accumulates on the beaches. People up here get "cabin fever" because we have so many bad days of weather, so they get out every chance possible. The beach is Rocky Neck State Park in East Lyme Connecticut. I have posted other pictures on the Beach and Water forum side.

Hi Bobbie,
thankyou for your reply. I've never heard of that term 'cabin fever'. Does that mean people feel gloomy because of the winter weather? I know that where I live, the valley gets quite dark and gloomy looking over winter, especially when we've lost daylight savings, and what sun there is disappears over the hills by 2.00pm. It gets very darkish here. I always look forward to the summer months.

The newest term is "Season Effect Disorder".......I think I like the term "Cabin Fever" better.
