Took the V3i out for a spin today

Not really used to the V3i and what she is telling me I dug a lot of targets resulting in a pocket full of trash and other coins. Then I came across a solid 83, but when I pulled the trigger Blue came up as the strongest signal. I dug down a few inches and up comes a quarter. I rechecked the plug and the surrounding dirt but it was clean. I thought green would be the strongest signal on a quarter, but not this time. I hope this machine is a little more accurate in the future.

I was using coin and Jewelry sensitivity rx 7 all metal

60 disk 60 all three freq with best data

I am new with this machine so I am open to Suggestion

That's really strange Waterdog. Did you test that quarter out of its matrix? If you did, it would probably pinpoint with 2.5 kHz dominant. And if so, that would tell me that there were other targets deeper that affected your original pinpointing. One other possibility comes to mind (a rare one though) is that your quarter was a mint error. I have had quarters that were minted on nickel planchet's as well as dimes minted on 1 cent planchets. If you dug an off-metal quarter it is worth between $600 and $1,000. Regardless, I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless it continues on other targets. Best of luck and...
