Took this off the T.D. forum. It's a Aussie TV commercial. Wise they show at here but you know they won't.

You know, I have been known to drink a few too many in my past and got away with it. I go to bars and usually have one beer and chat with friends. I am up here alone in the winter for the most part and that breaks up the evening.

I hear the locals batching about the cops. "The cops are out to get anyone that goes in a bar! Waaah. Mean old Cops!" I tell them that I have NEVER been pulled over by a cop that I have not deserved it and once pulled over I have never been treated badly. Now I know some have been but I am just speaking from my experience at the present time. I am seventy one years old and have not always been the innocent gentleman I am now :D

I also tell these guys, usually they are drunk at the time, that I hope the cops pick them up if they are drunk, I don't want to be on the road with a dang drunk out there. Most of the time they just say, "Yeah, I know what you mean" and try to change the subject.

I see guys and now days one hell of a lot of women get drunk on their arse and still think they can drive. Must be the youth. I was the same way and got away with it.

Now I usually have just one beer. I do not park behind the bar but across the street where a cop can see me walk to my car. On occasion I when in conversation with an interesting friend I will drink a couple. I am very aware of my speech. If there is any question I get up and walk to the john. I watch how I walk and if there is any unbalance I go back and drink water for a while. I have to be able to walk straight before I go to my car.

I have seen people be helped to their car and still drive away.

I pretty much despise young people that are exactly the way I was at their age. Back then I could not stand the old bastards that thought they knew all the answers. After all, I was young and my reflexes were better than the old fart.

I have had six friends from back then that felt the same way, they are all dead now.. Dumbasses :(

Both my parents were drunks. As is most of thier family.
I saw myself headin down the same road and 24 years ago
i made a choice to not drink any more.
I've had family members killed by drunks.
The ones that got killed never drank. Ironic huh?

My very closest best frind is a drunk.
Right about this time last year he was here with his 11y/o son to hunt deer.
They went out before light and came back into the house around 1100 for lunch and such.
He started drinkin his beer that he ALLWAYS carries with him and by 1230
was stagerin drunk. At about 1300 i heard his son ask when they were goin back into the woods.
When my friend got up and started to git dressed and told his son, "let's go ",
I stopped him and told him there was no way that from my house
and on my land he was gonna take that boy out into the woods with guns drunk.
In true alcholic form, he got pizzed and told his kid, " load the car up, we're leavin, i don't need to hear this s hit".
I apollogized to the boy and i told him flat out..." yer dad is an alcoholic and this is only gonna git worse".
His reply was, "thank you uncle Jimmy for stopping him, i know he is and he won't ever do anything with me sobre".
My friend hasn't been back here since, nor have i seen him since that day.

As i said, i have zero tolerance for drunks. IF, i was ever gonna drink beer
i would do it only in my own home and never ever out in public or anywhere away from home.
I sure wish that commercial was aired here in the US.
At least a dozen times a day on every channel.

It is a fact. Impairment begins with the first drink.
