Hunted an old 1800's home site that must have been hit a bazillion times before.........nothing left. After a little bit, I did get a target, a quarter that sounded great. Turned out to be a small rouge tin.....moist rouge #3...the good stuff!, I'm sure. Then came the brass snap hook, it is pretty cool. The only info I could find on it is that it is called a U.S. Goverment Type 1 Brass swivel snap hook.....pretty sturdy rig.........no markings. On the very front of the hook, when I use a lot of imagination and using a loupe, it almost looks to say '10', but, it is worn down so much I really can't tell.
