Tracker IV does it really work in saltwater sand?

I would like to hear from a user of the tracker IV about whether it does what they advertise? Thanks William

Depending on how wet the sand is and how level your swing isn't, you may have to use some combination of reduced sensitivity setting and/or discrimination high enough to knock out foil, to minimize saltwater chatter. On a steep beach, it also helps to sweep parallel to the shoreline rather than at right angles to it, in order to keep the circuit from having to accommodate different degrees of wetness in a single sweep. If you're searching more for jewelry than for coins, in general you'll get better results by reducing sensitivity and by careful sweeping, than by cranking up the discrimination which will tend to knock out the smaller jewelry.

These tips for searching saltwater beaches apply to most single-frequency metal detectors, not just the TK4.

I have used mine at a salt water beach with no trouble at all. Used it right up to the waters edge. I ran my Disc and Sens at the normal spots, right around the 1 o'clock mark. I just bought a Garrett Ace 350 and like my Bounty Hunter WAY better!!!
