Tracking on Red Racer

You guys who have used the racer for awhile now can most likely answer this question. The racer Manuel says to run the ground tracking in all metal mode but also says they don't recommend using it in two or three tone mode. I've used other detectors with ground tracking with great success in discrimination modes. Do any of you use the tracking mode while hunting in 2or 3 tone modes and what's your results ?
 
I haven't found a need to use tracking in my fairly mineralized AZ soil while using two or three tone modes. I just GB when I get to a site and start hunting. I'll re-GB every 30 minutes or so.
