Here at the Walker house we put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving every year. Our tree is filled with reminders of our savior. It is a witness tree to all who see it. :) Here are just some of the ornaments.

Ceramic Mary and Joseph that was made for our kids after they were born, by a lady at church.

Now baby Jesus and the cross made by the same lady.

The manger scene, and an upside down ceramic candy cane. Do you know the meaning behind it?

Hey Mike

I might have got the shells there, but the only songs this deer sang was #1 AHHHH!!! I'm hit! #2 Deer down! #3 Help I've fallen and can't get up!
#4 I see the light!!! #5 BRRR it sure is cold in this freezer!!! and #6 Ouch!! it sure is hot in this pan! :lmfao::laugh::rofl::heh::lol:

I'm sure I've shared this is the past but here it goes...

We haven't put up a Christmas tree in 15 or 20 years :) (Now, if we had kids, that would be a different story) Trust me, I have absolutely nothing against them at... this isn't a theological thing.

I have a small house and don't have a convenient place to put one. We did try it for a couple of years when we first moved here but it really was a hassle, especially when we had 6 cats :) They tended to love playing in it, knocking it down, playing with the ornaments, eating the tinsel. (you haven't lived until you've seen your cat walk by with a piece of tinsel sticking out of his... well you get the idea  ).

The great thing is, while we haven't had a tree up for Christmas in a very long time, Christmas is still Christmas and one of my favorite times of the year. For me, getting into the "Christmas spirit" comes early, usually in October when the choir starts working on the Christmas concert music :)

So, we have our own Christmas traditions (which at first glance may seem odd) but they do center around church and family and I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Right about now they have a couple radio stations that play nothing but Christmas music from now through Christmas. I like that! :)

Very nice tree & decorations ! We always wait till after my birthday - dec 13 - to put the tree up . But then we keep it up well into the New Year also. so it's up for 3-4 weeks. Nice buck ! Steve in so az
