Trash 'N treasures

Hit a couple parks this morning - dug this bunch of trash, trying to get the deep signals.

These little pieces of bottle caps sound off deep to about 8-10 inches - but the buffalo nickel (date worn away) and several wheaties did also. Got a small silver ring down there as well. Gotta dig em deep. Cooling down today to 104 today. Phoenix is to be 113 so it could be worse. steve in so az

Yep, all that trash looks familiar, my ex used to take a small area in one of our older parks and clean it out. Found some nice things.....like wheaties and small rings and etc. I usually had my plastic bag which hung on my belt full of trash, bottles, cans and etc before leaving the area and helped clean it out above and below ground! But I usually had some nice coins & goodies too, but also sometimes not!

Congrats on getting out in that hot weather....very hot and humid here today and going to get hotter with heat index in the 100's. Mowing the lawn again and still have back but have to rest between mowings. I sure drink lots of water and liquids....hope you do the same!

God Bless!

Love those faint deep targets! Come on up, it is 20 degrees cooler here! :)

You're finding a lot of older coins lately Steve. It can't be easy digging deep in your soil.

Yes it is. I dig a number of them in tot lots sometimes. The workers just drop them when doing a job. Same thing with cut chains that hold the swings. You woulkd think they would consider the kids safety, Steve

Doug - We have had about 5 inches of rain this last month or so and I am taking advantage of the easier digging by hitting places now. It's rare to get that much rain in a short time period.steve

Good idea Steve.

5 inches?? That's your average yearly rainfall isn't it??
