Hit some park fields & tot lots today for about 5 hours digging. Ended up with 228 coins, some junk jewelry, a car & an almost gold. 22 of the coins are nickels :)

The baseball glove is very heavy but not stamped anything other than China. The one dollar coin is a George Washington and the almost gold pendant is stamped 12K gf.

looking at the goodies and the trash...how's the back? 5 hours and all that digging...I'd be looking for pain killers.

What a haul, it must have been wonderful to hunt that long. I have the day free on Saturday and hope to have the same success as you. By the way, what kind of machine do you use?
 
Good luck to you on Sat ! One day you will be retired and can go detecting any time you want to.

I have used my Fisher 1266 X for about 15 years now. Don't think another machine can help me find more so I'll stick with it. Also, it's my second one, having worn out the first, steve
 
detecting out there? your coin count sure is high. I havent done playgrounds much but as I think back I would be lucky to find 12 coins

BY THE WAY STEVE FINALLY GOT RID OF THE 1265X AND FOUND A NICE (ONE-OWNER) 1266 X ,AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT.THIS 1266 X IS HOT ,FIRST CRACK WITH IT FOUND A 1945 WHEATIE @ 8 INCHES.CHECKED IT OUT ON MY COIN GARDEN HIT 10" ON A 1 CENT,NICKLE,DIME,QUARTER,AND A HALF DOLLAR .THIS BABY IS A KEEPER:clapping:

I know another guy who just retired and he's been going out daily. I have almost 9,000 coins for this year so far and I'm sure he's ahead of me - I don't see him too much so can't tell. But we have over a million population to drop things. Steve
