Trash Talking, I found enough of it!

Some of that doesnt look like trash. The first pic upper left item (depending on size) looks like it might be a bootheel plate, second pic bottom right item looks lke a pistol grip, 4th pic not sure what the silver type item bottom right is but it looks like a keeper in my book.

big targets. I always remember the Eisenhower one dollar coin I dug that sounded just like the previous 3 coke cans I had dug, same site. Steve in so az

Hey Rick,

Picture top/left shows what looks to be a rat trap spring w/ a boot plate above it. The top/right picture obviously shows a revolver grip plate and the lower/left picture has a rifle butt plate shown and I like the whistle in the same picture. There also appear to be a tarp eye in the same picture. One man's junk is another man's treasure so they say. Interesting finds.

I always say if you ain't digging trash you ain't digging all the coins. Nice hunt.:clapping:

Hi Rick, I wouldn;t desert it as yet! Because with all the trash or relic items you are finding, I would say that the place hasn't been hunted very much or someone cherry picked! You need to go at least a few more times to see if there was anything hiding behind or underneath all the iron and large metal items! If you don't, then someone else can come along while you are somewhere else and find the goodies that you might have left behind! Don't give up depending on what you want to find....depending on if the area is reall old or newer, but the ground has always been there! May God Bless! Amen! And may you find the goodies and not so much metal items! Ma Betty

After you weed out the trash, then comes the goodies!

When I first started detecting I had the same issue. Trash everwhere. Ma Betty, Mike, and Goes4ever kept telling me to dig the trash and eventually the good stuff pops up. Still have problems wanting to dig all the trash signals. Will someone come up with a digital screen that shows what is in the ground before I dig?

Wouldn't that be great to have a detector that showed a view of what is exactly under ground, but still if you didn't dig it, then you would still miss any goodies it masks! Maybe a talking one would be nice after you pin-pointed the object and it said hey, I'm a nickel, a quarter or just plain old trash! But until the detectors are more progressed than they are now, we just have to use the ones that are out there! And yet they have progressed so much since the 70's & 80's and even the 90's....soooo just be happy that you can go :detecting: and do find some goodies besides the junk! They could put a digger on there too and dig the item up for us! I won't be alive if and when that ever happens! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I like the toy car. I enjoy digging those. You also have what look to be 1 pot pipe and part of another, bottom right for both.
