Treasure's where you find it!

I haven't had much chance to hunt with and learn my T2, but I've already paid for it, without even turning it on!

There is a fine home in my town that was once owned by the former publisher of the town's newspaper. While repairing the roof, the present owners discovered 6 bound volumes of the Hill City News stored in the attic. They were printed during the war years and after.

I'm kinda known in these parts as the town's historian, since I publish several historical books on the area. I have no formal training, so I just call myself an archivist. The newspaper volumes were heading to the dumpster if no one was interested in them. Fortunately, my mom heard about them and they were given to me.

I just sold them to the local museum for $80 each. Couldn't have worked out more to the good, as now they'll be preserved better than I can manage, and I get to borrow them at any time for my own research.

And a box of old radios just sitting in the shed fetched good prices and brought me within spitting distance of paying for my T2.

So, I only need to find about 50 bucks in clad with it, and it'll be paid for. And I'm still on my first set of batteries, lol!
