Trouble with pinpointing on the 705

I have been using the 705 as my main detector for over a year now and love it. However, the pinpointing is starting to act erratically. Some times when I switch to pinpointing after I locate a target, the sound drops out completely until I go back to normal detecting and try the pinpointing again. Today, the pinpointing stayed on the "bullseye" even though I moved off the target. I can usually get it to work on the second try, but would like suggestions on what may be going on or how to fix this.
Thx,
Andy from Hillsborough

The first thing to always do should your Xterra start acting "glitchy" in any way is a factory reset. That's what I'd suggest right off.
If that doesn't straighten it out, get back to us and we'll see if we can figure out a solution to the issue.

On a quick try after reset it seemed to work better. I will know better after I take it out on a full hunt. Thanks,
Andy from Hillsborough
