Trouble with the Exp II and Sun Ray X-1...(for reference)

Here is a link to the Sun Ray forum where a discussion is going on about erratic behavior of the X-1.

I know many of you have the Exp II and using the X-1. On the off chance the X-1 acts weird this info may be helpful.

You may have other insight we have not notice that you can share.

The greatest problem I ran across was using the Exp II in FERROUS and getting to know how it works. Must be doing ok as I just pulled up an 1898 V nickel the other day and have been hitting Wheat pennies left and right. Anyway, to get used to operating in FERROUS then have the X-1 go nuts had me concerned and I was only digging trash after that happened.

I hit reset to get the detector back in Factory specs....and I forgot one thing...CONDUCT is the default not FERROUS. The detector operation changed and I did not change with it, so I started hitting trash and the X-1 was operating differently and I didn't know what was happening.

So if you're interested check the link to the Sun Ray forum and see the conversation. Maybe this will help someone else later down the road.
