Troy Shadow X5

TURNMASTER

Active member
I bought a Troy X5 yesterday. Cheap, BH prices, it had just hit the floor at one of the pawn shops. I am looking forward to giving it a try before I decide if I am going to trade it off. If I use it for trading fodder I think I will see if I can get Dick to trade me for a Sov GT.

Great machine that goes pretty deep.

That is what I have heard. The down side is I have a self imposed limit of 2 machines. I am going to run it a bit, see how I like it. Thing is lighter than my Xterra. I will pray some more but I think it is the chopoing block for the Explorer. Hmm... Maybe what I should be praying about is my 2 machine limit!

The Explorer is the last machine I would chop. I do know it is heavy for some, but it does what many can't also.
I would go to a Shadow forum and get some tips from the guys who run them.

Have you considered purchasing a 'Shoulder Harness' for your Explorer? It would help balance the weight of the machine much better than with arm strength alone.

It ain't that heavy. I kinda want a Sov GT to try out. I am in no hurry. I think that I will be taking a Privite Pilots course in the spring. The $ that come out of the Explorer are bigger than the Troy. I could still trade the Troy for a Sov.

I feel God leading me in this diredtion -- Pilots Certification and Explorer. The Explorer isn't set in stone though so we will see. I will love to see how God funds this project and what my sacrifices will be. Its gonna be fun, AND I still have my Xterra.
