tryed out a new spot

found a new spot to hunt yesterday so today i loaded up the explorer ll & headed out i was quite excited about this park as it had old broken glass & plates + bits of roof slate & had some 150 year old trees. fired up the exp had to turn the senc to auto as the ground was hot started digging bits of old trash & didn't stop digging it all day. the only things of interest was a religious medallion to commemorate a jubilee of union of some sort from 1859-1909 in Victoria Australia & a bit of fancy pipe ???. also found $5.

These finds came from an area I though I had systematically cleaned out..........poop.....now I have to go back over everywhere I have been with the Explorers and re- -search with the all over again with the E-trac. This seems to happen every time a more advanced version of a good detector comes.....

.....maybe goes to show that I haven't been using the Explorer's properly to the best of there ability in the first place!

Lucky I hunt with people who use other brands of detectors. Usually, it seems, that they can clean up an area when they go through and hunt it......


Maybe they and I just think we have............. Hmmmm...............

Hi David i"d love to get the new E-trac just cant afford one now this is a self funding hobby for me i"v only got $500 in the kitty at the moment i probably need another $700-800 + the explorer for a trade in before i can get one. the other thing is i don't know how well the E-trac will handle some of the parks i hunt as they "ve got hot ground & make the explorer ll squeal like a suck pig so i have to turn the senc way down or run in auto & lose depth which sucks as i know i"m leaving old coins behind it"s funny my little ace 250 seems to handle these parks better ???? it was the same with my explorer XS & x-terra 30 it just did better in the bad ground.
