WENT TO A PARK I DONT GET MUCH AT
WAS THERE A LONG TIME
GOT PENNIES
1 WAS 1956 WHEATIE
CLAD NICKLE
CLAD DIME
CLAD QUARTER
1970S TOKEN
A 1953 DOG TAG
1 DEEP SIGNAL WAS A 1917 BIG PENNY (CANADIAN)
MY RATING ON 400O IS FAIR
NOT A COIN KILLER
BUT LIGHT
AND HAS GOOD DEPTH

I used the 4000 for park hunting mostly, but went to the beach for a weekend and got a surprise. I took my MXT and the 4000. I use the MXT on the dry sand and though i if i got to a park i would use the 4000 because it is so light. Well took it to the beach just to see what it would do. It would work in the water and find coins without any trouble. I frond more with it than the MXT and so light you can hunt all day. If you get to a beach try one and see if yours will work that good, just can,t get the box wet. Flintstone

YOU ARE RIGHT 2 TRIES NOT ENOUGH
GUESS IM SPOILED FROM USING MY BIG BUD
4000 DID ID THE 1917 PENNY DEEPER THAN BUD EVER WOULD
4000 SEEMS MORE SENSIIVE TO TINY OBJECTS
BUD GETS MORE COINS ALWAYS
WILL ANY OTHER COILS WORK ON 4000 OTHER THAN 8 INCH OR 5 AND 11 INCH DD?
WHAT IS EVERYONE DOING TO REDUCE GLARE FROM SUN ON ALPHA 4000 6000 8000 ETC?

I think the Teknetics Delta is a definite winner in that price group. No doubt a better detector than the Big Bud, and I've used and compared them.

The round 5" DD, round 8" Concentric, 5X10 elliptical DD, 5

I have a 5" DD coil coming for my Delta, should I expect much difference from the 8" round coil in pinpointing or depth?

would the 5"DD work on the Eurotek Pro?

There will be a bit of difference, but not as much as some people might think. I personally use the 8" coil on my Omega the most, but in trashier sites I opt for the 5" DD and depth of detection is just a little less. Naturally, a lot depends upon the ground mineral make-up as well as the trashy target density.

In some trashier sites, the 8" coil might not get as good a depth response as the 5" DD because the larger 8" size is affected by some nearby junk target, whereas the 5" coil can work between targets better and take advantage of a little better depth in those conditions.

You asked how I might compare the Delta to the Euro-Tek, but I don't care for the basic Euro-Tek and will compare it with the Euro-Tek Pro, using the same standard 8" coil.

Well, they are different, for the most part. Both provide turn-on-and-go simplicity, meaning they rely on a factory preset Ground Balance. Thus, that adjustment is eliminated for the consumer.

I've been in touch with several people around the country who have had experience wit the Delta, then acquired the Euro-Tek Pro, and after putting in ample time to compare the in-field performance, most of their opinions or conclusions are close to those I ended up with, and that is:

The Delta is a very good basic Coin Hunting detector that is geared for the entry-level hobbyists. It is a simple, get-started detector with segmented range Discrimination, and has the traditional type of Target ID most US coin hunters enjoy. The 'plus' features it offers, those being the two All Metal mode choices and the Mini-Jack to compliment the standard
