Turning XLT in for MXT

I am looking at trading my XLT in on a MXT and would appreciate any thoughts you may have on whether I detected to long in the sun this summer or if I am still in my right mind. Just somewhat tired of menues and push buttons and would like to simplify my detecting experience. Thanks for any advise offered, Don.
 
I don't think you been in the sun to long the mxt is one awesome machine.
I've never had an xlt but have seen several who's owned the more expensive models that ended up with an mxt and with no regrets from what I hear so don't let the price difference fool you the mxt will rock and roll with the best of the best.
I love the knobs over menu type detectors it's like you said very simple to adjust on the fly in just a couple seconds you're back to swinging again.
 
I can't speak for everyone but I had a chance to play with the XLT here a while back and it seemed to perform just fine for me, it was already set up for hunting so I just used the program they had on it. But after about 15 minutes of using it I wanted my MXT pro back..its a simpler machine to operate and performed as well if not better than the XLT in the area we were hunting in. Turn on, ground balance and start hunting is my type of machine.
 
I have a MXT and recently purchased a MXT PRO. It was hard to imagine White's could improve on the MXT but they did. I would not trade my PRO for anything, it's truly a awesome machine.
 
The MXT is a sweet machine and you will really enjoy the turn-on-and-go functionality of the MXT. You won't ever have to worry about scrolling through several screens to make a single change and then reground balancing everytime you make a minute change to the settings. The MXT is very good at ground capture and the ability to switch from Coin and Jewelry to Relic to Prospecting mode on the fly and NOT have to ground balance with every mode change, well that did it for me!

The XLT is a great machine in its own right. I believe that you will simply like the change and IMHO you are not giving anything up making that switch.

I got DFX 300 still under warrenty for less than 500. I used it a few times sold it an bought a MXT Pro. I just like the control the knobs give me. I can twist a whole lot faster than I can program.
