Guessing from the screen name you must run a lathe. (I peeked a little and saw you are a machinist) So, you run manual or CNC. I run a Hardinge HNC and a Hardinge CHNC1. We make precision medical instruments. The HNC I run is actually a retrofitted machine converted from GE controls to MDSI touch screen with a PC interface. The CHNC is still Fanuc. My CHNC is down due to a spindle encoder failure. It stopped threading, and it can't read spindle orientation. It's not my shop, (But I wish it was) So what kinda machining do you do?

Medical and eletronics are the bulk. Shop is ISO 9002 and 13485 and I believe now 9008. We hold tolerence to 1 micron in production runs. I am primarily a lathe guy, Weekend Lead. More later time to go to work now. Oh yeah Mori Seiki and Makino and Tsugami.
