Was cleaning my coil the other day got an idea. I have a 1500 and alway use a coil cover. However, with the cover on, it becomes a round dish with small compartments that catch every thing from gravel to wood chips. I'm always having to flip the thing up to throw out the leaves chips etc. My idea is to get another cover and place it on the top of the coil to give it a soild appearance.
Looks like I could cut out a place where the shaft bolts on and would have to trim the lip enough to let it seat on the top of the coil.
Has anyone thought of this before. Would like to get some opinions. The covers are about 10-12 bucks. Not real cheep but not a major loss if it does not work.
And I know some of you are thinking "don't scan so close to the ground". Well-what can I say...."stuff happens."
