TWO Different finds this time

Youngted

New member
The first item is a copper alloy item of which I have found several over the years and have always been puzzled by them However recently I have found that the Museum of London puts them at 12Th to 15Th century A.D. as a Patch for a thin walled metal vessel The two pointed lugs would have been placed through the slit in the vessel then they are hammered flat to hold the whole thing in place. The only problem I have with that is of all the ones that I have found none have evidence of any vessel in them although they all appear like this one closed. This example is 2.5 inches long but many are less than 1 inch. The other its is a Radiate from the Emperors Carausius A.D. 287/293 with a reverse of PAX (not shown) this example has been pierced for use as a piece of Jewelry rather like the silver 6d I have seen in England on bracelets.Found November 16Th at a grass field I have searched many times with other machines. This time my T2 75/22/2+
