Two evening hunts last weekend

I managed a couple late day hunts at my IH park this weekend - Fri & Sun. Fri I managed a worn Washington and a few IHs and wheats. Sun found a few IHs and wheats. (also a few neat artifacts).
Both nights I went over areas I had hit prevously. The Washington was only a few inches down but it was only giving a faint repeatable chirp - smart screen reading was bouncing around. There must have been some other junk with it but I didn't find anything else in the hole after rechecking. Most of the other targets were fairly deep and again the ratio of older pre-1920 wheats was amazing. Judging by the average age of the coins there must have been a high concentration of activity 1880-1930.
My finds this time:
10 IHs: 1865 (2), 1876, 1879, 1884, 1887, 1889, 1897, 1905, 1906
23 wheats - incl 12 pre-1920: 1910, 1912 (2), 1913, 1914 (2), 1917 (2), 1918S, 1919 (3)
1 Washington (well worn) 1936
also a couple religious medals, a general service eagle button, and a couple school-type writing award pins

Funny you mention that - although I'm far from having all dates, I've been considering putting together a whitmans book on just the IHs found at this one park.
I still have some sections of the park I haven't been over yet and alot of sections I have to go over again. So far, 127 IHs, so I've got quite a variety of dates.
I'm fortunate to have this spot and I'm surprised at the amount of targets still there.

that you haven't found more silver coins. But like you
said, there are some areas you need to go back over.

You're right Gold Nuggets. As I've noted, for the amount of IHs and wheats, especially early wheats - the ratio of silver is lower than you would expect.
In all: 127 IHs and 204 wheats. Only 27 silvers but trust me, I AIN'T complainin'!!

Nice going Bruce. You got the whole tribe and the commander in chief to boot. I spent the day helping my son at his duplex shoving three big brush piles into one of those shredding machine. Didn't take any earplugs and my ears are still ringing, but I'm half deaf anyway. GL & HH on your next outing.
