I took a couple of hours off from work and found out our new captain on base where I work is a detectorist also. I asked if it would be okay to detect around his house and he said to go ahead. There is a lot of history here and at one time this property use to be an old homestead. After only about two hours of detecting my time was worth the effort. I found a 1907 Indian head and one of my best condition wise, a 1907 V nickle and a 1917 merc. I also got four wheat's and a few clad, but there is definitely some old stuff there. I thought for sure one of the guys that retired from there found all the coins, but he missed these............
