Two hunts and a nap in between them.

Pretty darn good day out metal detecting Sunday with my new Minelab Equinox 800. Just got it Wednesday, but it’s been too hot and humid to hunt until today. I love having two machines that are essentially the same, so the transition to the backup machine will be virtually seamless if need be. Now, if I could just sell that Max that’s been for sale since March...:rage:

Hit site #1 for three hours in the morning, then came home, had lunch and took a short nap. Went out to site #2 for a little more than two hours in the afternoon and had a stellar hunt. I was tired from digging 115 coins for both hunt sites (plus trash targets) for a total of $23.64 including one 1951 Canadian silver quarter and my first 2011 P James Garfield Presidential dollar coin, a Kennedy half and three wheat back cents.

The gear is on the chargers and Monday is supposed to be a beautiful weather day, with the high only getting to about 70F. I’ll be back out to some sites I haven’t visited since the Spring to see what the "depositors" have left for me now that the baseball season is all but over. :BangHead:

Nice Finds I run the 800 to sold my Deus just because the nox is a better beach machine hands down and I hunt beaches here in Ct been too hot for a few days to detect but I'm itching!

That is a bunch of digging. More in two days than I have found in two months. I haven't seen 70 degrees in three months.

Howdy JoeVal--

Very nice hunt! I know what you mean about the heat! Here in west Texas, we have had 13 consecutive days of triple digit temperatures. Yesterday it got down to 99 degrees so off I went with my V3i. Best of luck to you and keep the goodies coming!

Happy Hunting!
