Two Seated and one Merc

Ohio bud

New member
I went back to the Wade Oval Park in Cleveland. I was there two weeks ago and got a Rosie and some Wheats. I figured since there was an historical marker that there should be old coins. A lot of the park has been turned for sprinklers, drains and elect lights on the trees. the ground was perfect as the sprinklers had run during the night. I searched around for about an hour, not finding much when I got 12-43 at 8 inches , but it sounded good. Pulled the 1875 CC. 10 feet later, I got another 12-43 at 10 inches, and it sounded like the first, better than a penny and not as good as silver. Pulled the 1884 Seated. I usually dig anything deeper than 7 inches. I figured that I had found the spot. About 5 hours later, I finally got the Merc. It would have been nice if the seated were the 1884 CC Seated, check it out in the book. Not complaining, anytime you get two seated in a day, it is a good day.

Nice finds Bud! Congratulations and thanks for the story and the pictures!
