Looks to me like you're getting along well on the beach with that rig.

once i had a ctx along with 5 of my buddies. i found that using it everyday for 29 days it became heavy after 14 days. i like to hunt almost everyday, so my shoulder told me i better set the ctx down.
so like the rocket scientist i am, i traded it back to dealer and got a new excal and 705 in july.
when the 70 xterra was released way back when, i bought one and used it for about 2 months and then sold it to a fellow in s.c. and i have thought about getting another one so i did.
my plan was to use it for some button digging this fall and winter in the dirt, but i have not been to that zone yet and i find i get along just fine with the 705 at the ocean pretty good and with all this wind we have been having here on the virginia beach coast this past few weeks, targets have increased and a nice yellow has been found by others. the yellow is eluding me big time right now, but i have faith in its return to my scoop one day - maybe today or maybe wed.....
