From weather.com for your neck of the woods for day after Turkey day:60% chance of rain/snow showers, high in mid 40s;low around 31.THAT MEANS:there is a 40% chance it wont rain/snow-BUT:LETS FACE IT...EVERY time weve been out detecting, its rained-We got lots of warm clothes.I have insulated boots,we both got covers for our detectors...SO:IM GAME,IF YOU ARE...Only thing thal will stop me is if Im sick...THAT SAID:The odds are we will be:twodetecting:day after Thanksgiving, unless something un-forseen comes up with you or me between now and then.I will still send ya en e-mail Thanksgiving nite to confirm detecting or not detecting.OK???Steve!!!

no swim fins or snorkel hahahahaha. But let's do it.

Let me know if anything changes...btw the whits stuff has been falling here...looks like it stopped and the ground is still leaves and dirt.

BTW be VERY CAREFUL - Casey is on her way to get her driver's permit!!!!!!

:(suggesting waders and lots of warm socks for some wet detecting-HOWEVER;I DONT want to wind up with pneumonia...If I tripped and fell into the water,I have a feeling pneumonia would be the LEAST of my worries:sadwalk::(

though I have checked the front and side yards in the past - never the back yard..yet..I think there is a nice looking ring somewhere in the yard. I can rule out the front and one side of the house and the area beside the garage that is fenced in.

The ring - a Local 699 UAW ring - gold colored with a large red stone is missing. Yeah...it was on my little finger and belonged to my Dad (his passing will be a year Thanksgiving Day). I was moving things around...lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc. between the garage and house. Might have lost it there. Then again I did some leaf raking along the side of the driveway. I had gloves on and off many times that day.

Or might be in the back yard as I got tired of the leaves piling up at the back door so raked them towards the burn barrel in the back yard. (Didn't have gloves on then).

This may seem strange but its loss doesn't seem that important to me. After all it was 'just a ring' to me. To my Dad though it was a gift for 25 or 30 years working for Saginaw Steering Gear.

So if there is nothing else we can do we could always look for it. Otherwise, if we can do some detecting elsewhere...then lets do it. Not like that ring is going any place...I can always find it come spring :)

The yard just gives us one more 'back up plan'.
