U.S Sterling Silver Pin

I found this Sterling Silver U.S pin this last weekend, is there any way of telling the era? I found the bridle bit emblem last year and it seems to be Civil War Era. Thinking the pin may be from the same era, since there is not a period after the S? I looked up WWI and WWII US pins and the ones I saw had a period after the S. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep that seems to be a US cavalry bridal bit rosette from the CW period. I've seen them with the one . and without. Not sure about the silver US pin. Nice find though !!!

Bridal bit is sweet.
