UK East coast after the storms

New member
Tried my luck at an East coast beach, the storms havent removed the sand like in the South of England, they have added more!! but there are places where hardpack/mud is showing if you look hard enough. I tried one of these areas and found loads of lead fishing weights, a few modern spendables but no golden bling! I did manage a ring made from an early two shilling coin (silver) a 1918 half penny and a silver sixpence  plus the usual brass scrap (not shown)
The mud was evil in places, had I been wearing wellies they would still be in the mud now, it was that sticky! luckily I had my waders on, they didnt help when trying to remove the signal from the scoop though...

Hello mate! Nice ring that you found, good job on the hunt, glad you got time :) you should come and visit mate, the beach here is all clay, it is incredible! I'm going back at 00.30, for a few more hours, I'm sure the gold will jump in to your scoop soon, be good to see you soon mate:)

Same here on the East coast of Ireland, a couple of feet of sand has being deposited on all beaces. The west and souh coasts are different though, they are getting battered. We had 12m waves inthe West of Ireland yesterday.
