uk parkland coppers from a pounded park.

These were found on a parkland site after about 2 afternoons searching. These are your typical uk parkland finds for any one interested in this kind of stuff .. Totally worthless stuff but good practice at getting used to the tones from the ex 2.

What to some is trash is to another treasure, just remember that and no matter what you are finding, it is the joy of just getting out and discovering lost things long lost and forgotten. Good luck treasure hunting and keep the finds coming.

:sleepy:I agree with you its the fun of locating them that means much more than any dollar value. I mainly hunt for silver coins and i consider the coppers as bi products if ya know what i mean. I now am testing a pattern on the explorer smart screen that rejects some of the common old coppers . Some dick head has been planting pennys now on one of my parkland sites , i have RECENTLY found pennys in perfectly "pre cut" plugs - SOME ONE FOOLING AROUND PLANTING PENNYS!. I now reject the pennys on the smartscreen. I have a smartscreen that i use now that is opened up to detect jewellry and some common silver coins this saves me digging the old coppers. Has anyone else ever had people planting pennys on their sites ??. Its annoying......

I found a copper piece of metal once and on it said "sorry, found a good one here". Now I know that they are just joking around, but it does get annoying if you start finding them more and more often. I especially hate when kids walk by and throw change out in front of the detector when you are busy trying to retrieve a find. But it is kind of a good thing too, now only if you could get every kid to do that, you could get quite a haul in one day, wouldn't you think. Good luck on finding that elusive silver that you are after and HH>

I found some pennies in an old unused park that were wrapped in gold foil. They were there for awhile and there is a pic up here somewhere of them.. Its in the post about only freaks live by me. I got snowed out today but the ground is losing its frost here. Dug up an old brass lamp base today. I still ask myself why it was in that spot
