Underwater detecting!

Gosh, we need much more stuff like this posted. Metal Detecting is a great hobby for the entire family.

Hookah diving is the only way for me to go. I should be back in the water by Spring. But--I've gotta get me a new wet suit because it is uncomfortably cool up to the last of may up here.

Let's see some more!!!

Gidday passfinder, I'm from downunder so I can't help you with prices. My hubby built our hookah himself, bought and had the compressor delivered from the States, bought the batteries and motor here, the hoses, welding his own mounts for the batteries (takes two), and has it all very neatly arranged inside the brown ex-olives barrel! Anyway, see if I can take a few pictures of it and post here. Currently it's dismantled for cleaning from our last trip. If I'm guessing correctly it cost him close to $1,500.00 to build, and weighs about 70kg intact, but he'd like to reduce the weight overall somehow, so that's what he's working on next.
But it supplied us with 3.5 hours air for two divers, and ran like a breeze, real smooth, quiet too as it's encased in the barrel, just turn it on with the flick of a switch. Did the job! Golden:)

Hi Passfinder,
Just saw your compressor post....

Keene Engineering sells a Thomas T-80 compressor with gas engine for $450.

It is all you would probably ever need for 1 or 2 divers.

They also have a 2 cylinder pump, the Gast 263 for deeper and more divers for more bucks

Personally I'd rather use a gas powered compressor, unless noise would be a problem.
