Unexpected fossil find.

I picked up what I thought was an old piece of pottery the other day only to find that it was sandstone. It had a sharp piece jutting out of it that I happened to flick with my finger and when it popped off I found this little feller staring back at me. I kept the whole piece as the rest of it is in there but honestly don't know anyone that could extract it for me. Anyone know what it is? I thought trilobite but haven't been able to find one with a head like this thing has.

Need something to gauge size in with pic. A ruler, quarter etc. May not answer the question but it helps determine size better.....

Sometimes "mother nature" can create some bizarre shapes into what I call a geofact.....not saying that's what it is...but just a possibility??

Do you think it could be some type of native artifact? Anyway I don’t think that is fluke that happened by chance. Very cool find
