Unidentified object

Juts recently I found an object about the size and shape of a unshelled peanut, it is as heavy as lead, not magnetic. I ground a small place with my bench grinder and it is the color of steel, but again it is not magnetic. Any idea what it might be?
Thank You,
John D.

Melted aluminum?

It registered like a quarter and is much too heavy to be lead, when put on a grinder it gave off sparks and is silver in color.

maybe pewter or zinc???
