Uniprobe & F75?

Thinking about a probe now, what with deeper holes now. Any opinions about the 'pocket' uniprobe? It's expensive but I like the power (depth) they advertise. Also the on-off belt mounting looks like it would work without too much bother.
As a side note, the 'locking' rod collars have cracked on my unit, maybe due to 'faster' sweeping putting more stress on them.
Disappointing since the rods, collars on my CZ70 are rock solid.
I can't risk taking mine apart for fear of completely breaking!
Hoping for replacements soon.
Have anyone out there had to replace theirs? wondering how hard it is to do.

I use one with the all my machines, including the F-75.

The belt clip sucks though. You'll be dumping it into the dirt all the time if you try to use it. Some folks use a cell phone cover and attach that to their belt.

Also the speaker can quit working because the spring in the headphone jack will jam/short it so that only headphones work.

Performance wise it is very good though.

I use a stereo splitter from radio shack so that I can plug both the detector and the probe into my headphones. Use some velcro strapping to attach the box to the machine and you can do the same with the probe or just stick it in your pocket.

Hopefully SunRay will make a inline probe for the F-75 since it can use concentric coils.

the ones built into the headphones and love it with all my detector that Sun Ray don't make a probe for. The ones built into the headphones are a little more, but well worth it as the headphones are quality headphones you normally pay $100 for. I don't thing there is a $30 or so difference in the pocket one and the reg one built into the headphones.

I have had both the Pocket UniProbe and the Headset Uniprobe. BOTH are great but with my new F75 I exclusively use the Headset Uniprobe and highly recommend it... costly but worth the $$$.

I have the headset version and it works great with the F75. I also use it with other detectors so it is a welcome tool that is used universal to all my detectors.

I also have a Periscope and love it, but they no longer make them.

I have used one for a number of years and prior to that the Headset version.:)

It`s the Best probe that I have ever used and with whatever detector Iam swinging at the time.:beers:

Expensive Yes, but its worth every penny.:thumbup:Jerry.
