Unstable vdi on the exterra pro

after watching all the videos that I can find,it seems the biggest complant is unstable vdi numbers. it seems when the coil goes over a shallow coin the numbers can go up or down several numbers. For those who have use the xt pro, what is your take on the vdi being unstable?

In most of the videos I've seen the user is sweeping the target too fast for starters. Beyond that, my take is that the TID is mostly unimportant because audio rules!

If a more stable TID is the goal, then reduce the sensitivity and/or change frequencies to one that is more accurate for the conductivity of the target. Lower frequencies will work better on high conductors, and higher frequencies do better on lower conductors.

Also, proper ground balance makes a difference. There is NO reason to NOT turn Tracking ON.
 
On the same similar videos the guys are always on the edge of detection....like a 10 inch dime for instance

..it is pretty far down there for a dime at that depth



So yes The numbers do bounce around some but the signal still sounds good.

So I would still dig it anyways.
